Last week, RMMFI’s Director of Impact, Theresa Rinne-Meyers, gave remarks during a press conference at the State Capitol on the Improved Access to the Child Care Assistance Program bill (HB24-1223). This legislation will help streamline CCCAP applications, adjust provider rates for business sustainability, and align the program with federal standards.
60% of entrepreneurs in the RMMFI community are parents, and one of the biggest hurdles they face is the immense cost and limited access to affordable, quality childcare. HB24-1223 will make it easier for entrepreneurs to access the affordable childcare they need to start and grow their small businesses. By advocating for policies that support the holistic needs of local entrepreneurs, we’re working to create the conditions for true, equitable economic empowerment.
