We are excited to announce that Jessica Sveen has been selected as the Chief Executive Officer of RMMFI. Jessica has been serving as the Interim CEO since February when founder Rob Smith retired. She was selected by the Board of Directors to continue in the permanent role after a thorough search that included the consideration of more than 340 candidates from around the country.

Abbey O’Neal, RMMFI Board Chair, announced the decision and shared the following thoughts about Jessica’s qualifications:

“Jessica brings extensive experience working with and helping to grow RMMFI and fostering and building trusted connections with entrepreneurs and other key members of our community. In the past several months serving as Interim CEO, Jessica has demonstrated her ability to not only lead but also actively exceed ambitious goals. She is poised and well-prepared to deliver on the RMMFI vision as its next CEO, and the Board of Directors is thrilled to support her as she steps fully into this role.”

After seven years with RMMFI, Jessica expressed her gratitude and enthusiasm for the opportunity to lead the organization during an exciting period of growth and innovation:

“Thank you to the whole RMMFI Community for your ongoing support through this year of transition. I’m humbled and grateful to continue to lead RMMFI into our next chapter of supporting entrepreneurship through capacity building and capital services. Our entrepreneurs are at the center of all we do and as a team, we will continue to drive towards a more equitable entrepreneurial ecosystem in Denver and throughout Colorado.”

Thank you to the Board of Directors for their stewardship and to everyone who has been involved in this important process. We are thrilled to continue working under Jessica’s leadership as we expand and deepen our impact across Colorado.
