This month, we welcomed four new members to our Board of Directors, including a second RMMFI boot camp graduate. These individuals bring a range of expertise, skills, and connections to small business ownership, and we’re excited to activate their passion and talent as we continue to help people and communities across Colorado realize their unique potential through the power of entrepreneurship.

“I wanted to join the RMMFI Board to give back to the community that has given so much to me. As a former “boot camper,” I have seen first-hand the tremendous impact RMMFI has in the community. With the pairing of the right mentors, coaches, and community, the entrepreneurs can go a long way in their professional development.”

Edgar Aguilar is the President and Co-Founder of Legacy Construction Cleaning and Janitorial Services. When he started the business in 2008, Edgar was also working at T-Mobile, where he served in multiple leadership roles. Edgar graduated from Class #11 of RMMFI’s Business Launch Boot Camp in 2014 and, after 11 years with T-Mobile, chose to follow his passion for entrepreneurship full-time in 2015. One of Edgar’s most cherished rewards of owning and operating Legacy is running a multi-generational family business. He and his wife, Yolanda, inherited the business from Yolanda’s grandfather, and Edgar hopes that someday their own children will carry on the legacy.

“I’m thrilled to join the team of talented minds committed to RMMFI and the entrepreneurs and communities we serve. RMMFI’s mission is even more important today as the pandemic has heightened many of the challenges facing microbusinesses, families, and communities.”

“The values and mission of RMMFI closely align with my values as an attorney, an entrepreneur, and a person. I am inspired by RMMFI’s mission and hope to contribute in whatever ways I can alongside the other amazing board members.”

Miles Williams is an attorney and an entrepreneur. He started his own law firm out of law school, focusing on business law. Miles enjoys working with small business owners who are underrepresented in both business and in the legal sphere. Prior to becoming an attorney, Miles was a banker at US Bank as well as a judicial assistant in the court system.
