This position is based in a small nonprofit office setting, with a minimum requirement of two in-office workdays per week. The office environment is collaborative, mission-driven, and dynamic, with opportunities for cross-team engagement and open communication. Employees are expected to work both independently and as part of a team, contributing to a positive, inclusive, and flexible workplace culture. While in the office, team members will have access to shared workspaces, meeting rooms, and necessary office equipment. The remaining workdays may be completed remotely, offering flexibility and a balanced approach to on-site and virtual work. Staff are expected to attend in-person meetings, trainings, and events when scheduled.
The Community Engagement Coordinator serves as a primary connection point between the organization and the communities it serves. This role is responsible for implementing outreach, engagement, recruitment, and communications activities that connect entrepreneurs and volunteers to programs, resources, and events. Working under the direction of the Partners & Events Manager, the Coordinator executes community engagement strategies, supports volunteer recruitment and retention, promotes organizational programs and events, and helps maintain a strong presence throughout Colorado’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. This role combines community outreach, volunteer engagement, event support, and marketing execution to help ensure entrepreneurs have access to the capacity, community, and capital. Fluency in Spanish is required.

Core Competencies
- Entrepreneur Outreach & Engagement (30%)
Implement entrepreneur recruitment and engagement activities that increase awareness of programs and connect prospective entrepreneurs to organizational resources. Including:
- Conducting outreach in English and Spanish through community events, presentations, information sessions, and partner referrals.
- Building relationships with prospective entrepreneurs and serving as an initial point of contact.
- Supporting entrepreneur intake, follow-up, and onboarding activities.
- Maintaining outreach pipelines and engagement records within the CRM.
- Representing the organization at community events and entrepreneurial ecosystem gatherings.
- Execute recruitment strategies and campaigns developed by organizational leadership.
- Volunteer Engagement & Coordination (30%):
Coordinate volunteer recruitment, onboarding, communication, and engagement activities that support organizational programs and events. Including:
- Recruiting volunteers through outreach activities, community events, partner referrals, and online platforms.
- Conducting volunteer intake conversations and onboarding activities.
- Collaborate across teams to connect volunteers with relevant opportunities in programs, capital, and development.
- Coordinating volunteer communications and engagement opportunities.
- Maintaining volunteer records and participation data.
- Supporting volunteer recognition and appreciation efforts.
- Provide timely communication and follow-up with volunteers.
- Marketing & Communications Support (20%):
Develop and distribute outreach and marketing materials that support entrepreneur recruitment, volunteer engagement, and event participation. Including:
- Creating engaging and inclusive content aligned with organizational messaging for newsletters,
social media, email campaigns, and outreach communications. - Developing flyers, presentations, toolkits, and recruitment materials.
- Supporting bilingual communications and content review.
- Promoting programs, events, volunteer opportunities, and organizational resources.
- Gathering entrepreneur, volunteer, and partner stories for impact communications.
- Events & Community Presence (15%):
Support community engagement through events, workshops, information sessions, and ecosystem activities. Including:
- Coordinating outreach and communications related to events.
- Supporting event logistics, registration, and participant engagement.
- Representing the organization at community events, resource fairs, and networking
opportunities. - Conducting post-event follow-up and participant communications.
- Data & Reporting (5%):
Maintain accurate outreach, volunteer, and engagement data to support
organizational decision-making. Including:
- Tracking recruitment sources and stakeholder engagement.
- Maintaining CRM records and contact databases.
- Monitoring outreach, volunteer, and marketing metrics.
- Preparing reports and updates as requested.

- Travel Required
- Regular travel within Colorado for meetings and events.
- Up to 30% statewide travel to support outreach and recruitment efforts.
