New Program to Support Entrepreneurs’ Leadership Development

Entrepreneurship is both a personal and a professional journey. RMMFI’s model has always emphasized both through our programs and partnerships. This year, we introduced a new program designed to further support the personal and leadership development of formerly incarcerated entrepreneurs at our new Northeast and Southeast Colorado sites: the Entrepreneur Leadership Training Program.

Delivered by our partners at the Second Chance Center, the Entrepreneur Leadership Training Program builds on the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People curriculum and includes interactive discussion around lived experiences in leadership development and entrepreneurial skills. The program content is all uniquely attuned to the perspectives of formerly incarcerated individuals.

Following our first cohort of the Entrepreneur Leadership Training Program, 89% of entrepreneurs reported experiencing personal growth, and 78% said they believed the program was impactful for their future success. 90% reported feeling hopeful for the future after completing the program.

We’re grateful for our partnership with the Second Chance Center for making this new program so successful, and we’re excited to continue watching the entrepreneurs we support grow into not just business owners but business leaders.
