It’s Volunteer Appreciation Month, and today’s volunteer spotlight is RMMFI graduate and volunteer Briana Butler, owner of Bria’s Italian Fusion. Since graduating from RMMFI’s boot camp in 2018, she has given back to the entrepreneur community by serving as a mentor for 5 boot camp sessions. For Briana, volunteering with RMMFI means the opportunity to knowledge-share and help entrepreneurs reach their goals. She has always been passionate about community service and finds that working with other entrepreneurs helps her grow as an entrepreneur as well.
Briana is also passionate about building an inclusive economy. “Being a Black woman in America, I’ve faced challenges with inclusion and acceptance. I want to help others manage the challenges I’ve been through so that they don’t become discouraged and feel like they have a true supporter. That’s what building an inclusive community looks like to me.”
It’s clear Briana’s been successful in providing this support to her fellow entrepreneurs. Her mentees shared that “Briana was invested, supportive, encouraging, and transparent” and that she “was awesome and had a lot of great ideas.”
Thank you to Briana and all the volunteers that make RMMFI such a supportive community!
