Description

The Trainer will be primarily responsible for the delivery of RMMFI’s core education programming in the Idea & Launch program phases. In the Idea Phase, the Trainer will manage the Business Idea Lab program, which is a 4-week introductory program designed for aspiring entrepreneurs to explore business ownership. In the Launch phase, the Trainer will manage the Business Launch Boot Camp program, which is a 12-week intensive business program designed to support 10-12 entrepreneurs launching their businesses.

RMMFI is looking for someone with a high degree of interpersonal and communication skills. Qualified applicants will have quantifiable experience in facilitating learning experiences in both a 1-on-1 and group setting, as well as experience working with economically disadvantaged and under-resourced communities. This position is ideal for a business owner or entrepreneurial candidate who is looking for a part-time position as a complement to their current work.

Primary Responsibilities

The Trainer will oversee and deliver the RMMFI educational programs from end-to-end. Including, but not limited to, classroom facilitation, planning, communication, event preparation, and data & document collection.
NOTE: RMMFI programming classes are virtual and remote with some in-person events. Applicants must be comfortable facilitating and working in a remote & virtual environment.

All educational programming typically occurs from 4-8pm on Monday – Thursday during a program cycle. The Trainer will also maintain consistent office hours for make-up sessions and one-on-one support for entrepreneurs. Additionally, the Trainer will support the development and delivery of new educational offerings and special workshops.

The Trainer will support with the continual updating of the curriculum to ensure relevancy, as well as the development of innovative learning tools to improve the program experience.

The Trainer will be expected to complete various administrative tasks on a weekly basis, including recording attendance, collecting homework and presentation slides, reviewing business plan materials, consistent communication with entrepreneurs & volunteer mentors, as well as regular internal meetings with supervisor, programs team, & all-staff.

Coordinate the applications, screening, and selection of entrepreneurs and volunteers for all programming cohorts.

The Trainer will consistently and effectively respond to common entrepreneur inquiries or issues in a timely manner. Build trust and cultivate genuine relationships so entrepreneurs feel welcome and able to address personal/academic challenges they may face as their business develops.
