Pilates with Yula provides fitness and wellness services that shape bodies, enhance mobility, and transform lives by guiding people through kinesthetic techniques using Pilates and other movement-based methods. I have over twenty years experience as a dance and movement professional.

I teach Pilates at my studio in Alamosa, CO. My classes focus on neuromuscular exercises that ask for participants to develop cognitive awareness about the mechanics, quality, and effort of their body movements. Exercises that require increased attention to elongating the spine and enhancing core strength are emphasized. These exercises are physical and cognitive workouts that promote more efficient, graceful, and powerful musculoskeletal performances for other athletic activities and daily kinesthetic practices.

I approach each class as a new opportunity to make Pilates a learning and transformative experience about our abilities to be intelligent moving bodies—to move with clear intention and cognizance about why particular movement patterns and habits are enabling or disabling, helpful or harmful.
